Effectiveness??

Today I was thinking ( No worry, I do my work as well) one question:

1) Does effectiveness mean you must do thing fast? If I do thing slow, can I do it effectively at the same time?

i think effectiveness means the time and effort spent is reasonable to the value of the work produced. If the value of the work is not much but much time is spent, then it would appear that the effort is not effective and could be better used on another work or assignment.

Sometimes it can be slow and effective too, especially in some work that require a lot of care and effort, like sewing, cooking, painting etc.

On the overall however, effectiveness needs to also be compared to the general pace or standard of the industry. For example, if outsourcing a particular work to another vendor because they can do it faster but equally well and efficient, then most likely it will be outsourced as there is considerable savings in terms of time.
